Jim's career and life's focus has been devoted to international reporting.

 From 2015 until last fall, he lived in Kyiv where he reported a newsletter on business and politics in Ukraine.  Currently, he is a fellow of The Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington based non-profit, non-partisan research institute focusing on foreign policy and national security.

Now living in Lenox, his hometown, Jim writes a twice monthly Foreign Affairs column for The Berkshire Eagle.
